Doing what he does best, he drops a fresh house masterpiece with a magical mix of tropical, deep and chill vibes. Jmi Sissoko’s heartfelt vocals complete this beautiful house anthem.
For Dr. Shiver
- Talking about your recent release "Brave Love" ft. Jmi Sissoko, how did you choose Solberjum as official remixer ? and did you felt the need to release a remixed version of your song?
Well, when I made this track I just wanted to create a nice pop track. I was thinking about finding a good remixer for this track when Solberjum was in the Studio with me and, after hearing the original version, he told me “I love this one, I think it’s perfect for radios, but don’t you think a house mix can work better for clubs?”. The reaction from my side was immediate “Bro, it’s funny ‘cause I was thinking the same, since you love the track and I love your sound, why don’t you do a nice house remix?”. After one week the remix was already there! A great job, really! Samir totally understood the potential of the vocal and really developed a fresh remix that is giving the right space and emphasis to the vocal, but at the same time makes the track perfect for any kind of club!

- As artist, what do you want to tell to world with your music? Where do you take your inspiration from?
Shiver: Music, to me, is just a way to express myself, my emotions, my feelings. I have been playing piano since when I was 5 and I have learned that it is easier to communicate with some music than with a thousand words. Music is a worldwide language that everybody understands: a minor chord progression will communicate sadness to anyone, while a powerful major chord progression will bring happiness. This is just the basis of how it works but it already gives the idea. Everything can inspire me: it can be a person, an experience of life, a nice lake or some crazy wild nature. Mostly, since I love to use music to communicate myself, it is my inner feeling that inspires me the most: love or hate for something, sadness, happiness and so on. I try to listen to what I have inside me and then simply to put it in music.
Solberjum: Until today, my music has been mainly focused on club oriented tracks, with very little room for lyrics. So I would say that more than spreading a word to the world, I try to spread good vibrations through my music. My biggest wish is to inspire people in their life. In the same way I get inspiration from other artists by listening to their music in different genres. The sun, the beach, other people’s success give me inspiration. I'm myself inspired by good vibrations: I'm also very attentive to upcoming trends and I feel them, that's why my music is always moving. So I hope to inspire people like I'm inspired by others.
- If you would choose up to 5 songs, which track would you play most in your recent sets?
Shiver: This is a hard question. I believe there are no “MUST PLAY TRACKS” in any set. I try to get inspired by the moment, the place and the crowd, so it can happen to me to play 5 tracks in 10 different dj sets in a row, just like it can happen not to play any tracks from any previous dj set of mine. For sure, at the moment, I love my track Something as well as my remix of “You Got The Love”. Also my new collab with Solberjum titled “Bla Bla Bla” (we will release it on Art&Music March,12th) is something that I love to play. Lately I have been in love with the remix of “Yeah Yeah” by my brother John Christian and with the collab of my bro Nicky Romero and Teamworks titled “Champion Sound”.
Solberjum: For sure I will play my remix of “Brave love” from Dr. Shiver. I will also definitely play my track “Right Back”, the track from Bougenvilla & Lazy Jay “Float My Boat”, “Balls” from My Broder Madara and the Bass House track from Cazztek ft Kiyoshi called “If You Really Wanna”.
- What are your plans for 2018?
Shiver: Too many! I have 12 new tracks to be released soon. A new collab with John Christian, tons of huge events to play at and … Miami, Ibiza and Amsterdam are waiting for Dr. Shiver & Art&Music Recording.
Solberjum: 2018 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for me. My music is better than ever before, I've got a bunch of new tracks on the way, I feel inspired to create new music and it's also the year of the launch of my new project Broderskab, which is the most refreshing and inspiring project that I'm developing with my partner Madara. We've created a new crew of creative people from all around the world inspired by a common lifestyle. We're also developing the recording side of Broderskab with Dr. Shiver & Art&Music. We have a lot coming up, and 2018 is gonna be full of travels, music, videos, art and shares. I'm very proud to say that we already have members in Asia, based in Hong Kong and Indonesia. We're definitely attentive to the creative force from this part of the globe. I'm sure you'll hear about us very soon, if you haven't yet.
- Please leave a message for your fans in Asia!
